how can learning about a PowerPoint help me in the real world?

It will help me in the future. For tests and homework also if i get a job i might need to know how to use the PowerPoint Part or at least no how to get there on a computer.I think most jobs are dealing with power points when you have to show them your skills . maybe in college you will have to show power points .

i would like to start knowing now so i wont have donuts in college.

i see myself with the fastest computer ever. its a laptop   with web cam built in internet 3g network and everything you could imagine and more. it would be silver with red keys and a gold mouse. it would not be heavy and also would have rechargeable  battery that lasts for days. every one would be jealous.

HOW CAN LEARNING COMPUTER PARTS HELP ME IN THE REAL WORLD? 

I think it will help me so I could know what i am doing on the computer. Also maybe i could find out how to get places that i need without help. probably i could learn what i need so in college i don't have to be the one that needs help. also because i heard that computers will be used for things that we can think of. we would need that information so we will know what to do when we use the computer.
